A long journey ahead - Thailand Dec'12/Jan'13

The alarm screams out much earlier than should be legal. After a quick shower we are all wide awake. We jump into our already laid out clothes... Olivia's are even set out in the order to put them on... now you can't get more organised if you tried.

Quick snack for an early breakfast, and stuff our pockets with some odd bits out the cupboard, and we are ready to set the alarm system and lock up the house.

We pick up tío Luis and Ignasi who are going to come to the airport with us and bring our car back. The two cousins (Olivia & Ignasi) chatting and laughing the whole way - the excitement is starting to bubble.

We check in and boarding cards in hand, we are on our way!

Dohan to Bangkok: Choose a new movie and sit back, perfect. Half an hour later there is an anouncement on the speaker saying they are sorry for the delay, but we are waiting for some guests from an incomming flight ... .WHAT?? I didnt even realise that we hadn't taken off yet. It felt like we should almost be there!! We sit on the tarmac for another half hour, and finally we take off for Bangkok.

Bangkok to Chiang Mai:
We arrive in Bangkok at the same time we should be boarding the next plane. As we step out the doors of the plane, someone is there with a sign with our names on it..."follow me" she says and off we speed past everyone else to passport control and immigration... ready to board the final flight to Chiang Mai.
